The Albanian Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale 2022 presents Lumturi Bloshmi, an Albanian artist who works in painting, photography, installation and performance. Her works are characterized by a certain irony and a particular way of reflecting and overcoming the reality in which she lives.
The pavilion is designed to reflect Bloshmi's tangible yet intangible universe and its openness to interpretation. The two spatial structures curate people's views and flows, expanding the small transitional space dedicated to Albania. They create different environments for different relationships with the artworks, from a representative framing to small and intimate situations.
The wooden structures are covered with fabric dipped in resin, creating a very specific and strong, but also indeterminate atmosphere.
