Re-Use of the former largest factory for textile machinery in Germany.

In a careful and step by step process we are part of giving home to promising local players from art, club culture, tech start-ups and craft production in Chemnitz. Our contributions include classical architectural design and planning to landscape design, the invention of creative permit processes to finding and curation of utilizations and CI work. The programs so far include start-up offices and spaces for production, a canteen, cafe, an exhibitionhall and a 1500 sqm roof garden as the heart of the development. The overall architectural strategy can be described as a defense against unnecessary interventions and material expenditure in combination with targeted identity-creating and consolidating measures.
